At Queensland Koala Crusaders, we believe koalas need more than protection — they need a future generation that will fight for them.
That’s why we’re proud to launch something new, exciting, and full of hope:
The kids’ conservation community from Queensland Koala Crusaders — created to inspire the next generation of wildlife protectors.
The Joey Club is a place where young wildlife heroes don’t just learn about koalas…
they take action to protect them.
Koalas are facing increasing threats in the wild, including habitat loss, climate pressures, and expanding urban development. The challenges are big — but so is the opportunity to create change.
And it starts with kids.
When children feel connected to nature, they grow into adults who care about it, fight for it, and protect it. The Joey Club is designed to help build that connection early — through fun, positive, hands-on learning and real-world action.
What is the Joey Club?
The Joey Club is a membership program for children who love wildlife and want to make a difference.
It’s designed to be engaging, empowering, and practical — giving kids the tools to become real conservation champions in their own homes, schools, and communities.
Through the Joey Club, children learn that conservation isn’t just something adults do.
It’s something they can be part of right now.
What do Joeys receive?
Every Joey receives a special membership experience, including:
🐨 A digital welcome pack
📜 A personalised Joey certificate
🌿 Monthly Koala Quest missions — real-world conservation challenges that encourage learning through action.
These Koala Quest missions may include activities like:
- identifying habitat trees
- creating safe wildlife spaces
- supporting rescue and rehabilitation efforts
- learning how everyday choices can protect native species
Each mission is designed to be achievable and rewarding — helping children build confidence while making a genuine difference for koalas and the environment.
More than learning — it’s leadership
Joey Club is about more than facts and fun activities.
It helps children develop:
🌱 environmental knowledge
💚 compassion and connection to wildlife
🧠 confidence and resilience
⭐ leadership and pride in making a difference
Every mission completed is a reminder that small actions add up — and that kids can be powerful changemakers.
Two age-based membership tiers
To make sure every child gets the most out of the program, Joey Club offers two membership tiers, designed for different age groups:
🐾 Pouch Joeys (Ages 3–6)
These missions are simple, creative, and fun — designed to build confidence and a love of nature through easy activities that parents can do alongside their little Joey.
🌿 Back Rider Joeys (Ages 7–12)
These missions include deeper learning and more advanced conservation challenges, designed to encourage independence, leadership, and meaningful real-world action.
This ensures every Joey receives activities that match their stage of development, interests, and growing wildlife hero skills.
Why Joey Club matters
Koalas need habitat.
Koalas need protection.
Koalas need people who care.
And that’s exactly what the Joey Club helps create.
Because when children grow up seeing wildlife as something worth protecting, they become adults who fight for it.
And because every Joey can help save koalas — and every small action adds up to real impact.
