Koala Kids Day was an incredible success! The Noosa Alive Associated Event was supported by our Community and Local Businesses. Our amazing sponsor and QKC member, Helena Wylie gave a generous donation, which allowed us to provide the 1st 100 kids with lovely plush koalas to take home. (Pictured Sam Coward of Hot 91.1FM)
Our children ‘s Art Competition was supported and facilitated by Eileen Walder and Award Winning Author and Illustrator Emma Middleton. Prizes were awarded to Children Artists around the world and locals that came to celebrate the day got to see our local Detection Dogs for Conservation team in action as they demonstrated their incredible skills. Wildlife HQ brought some other wild critters along to delight the crowds and Butterfly Fairy Faceprinting was a great hit with the kids.
Entertainment was provided generously by local legends Simon Russell-Baker, Sam Shepherd and the Dennis Sisters. Little Seed Theatre Co. produced and performed a wonderful play for all to enjoy and QKC would like to thank all who participated in this FREE public event! We hope to see you next year in support of our koalas!
