June and July proved to be busy months for QKC Inc with music and fundraising events on the Sunshine Coast! Our amazing Concert at Noosa Arts Theatre brought Sam Shepherd and guests to the stage raising funds to support our friend "Maya" the Koala poo sniffing dog!
2015 began slowly for us at QKC. Personal events of 2014 led me to introspection and re-evaluation of what really matters in this life. Where we sit with Koala Conservation has concerned me. I have questioned why the good efforts of so many people have not halted the ever-increasing decline of an iconic species. April through June brought us to many meetings and collaboration with other groups to "DO WHAT'S BEST FOR KOALAS". We are now ending the month of September, which has been a whirlwind of activity! Social media has become a great platform of reporting of our efforts and we hope to have a better online presence through our website in the coming year. Calling all you web-savvy young folks that can perhaps take the initiative on this and come onboard for exciting works ahead for the koalas! We need you!!!!Read more
Queensland Koala Crusaders Inc (QKC) has gone through many changes this year and we have been quite busy. The next year is likely to be full on and we are resting up and storing energy now for what is to come in the New Year!!
The New Year will provide us with a renewed focus, whilst maintaining our original mission to be “a voice for the koala”.
