Grill'd Local Matters
Local Matters is a way of giving back to the communities Grill'd is part of, right around Australia. Every month, each restaurant splits $500 between three groups doing amazing work in the community —and that’s where YOUR vote counts.
HOW YOU CAN HELP?
We’d love your support so simply head to Grill’d Noosa during May for a burger and pop your Local Matters token in our jar. It’s a simple (and delicious) way to show your support!
You’ll find us on a jar at Grill’d Noosa, Shop 5 50 Hastings St, Noosa Heads.
Containers for change - (QKC Member Number C10369139)
Queensland Koala Crusaders is registered with CONTAINERS for CHANGE as an extra way to raise valuable funds.
This is a great way for you to get involved and support our Aussie icon.
Do you think this is something you could do?
When you recycle with Containers for Change, you get a 10 cent refund for every eligible container you return.
Making change is easy. It all starts with you. Collect your eligible, recyclable containers, then drop them off at a container refund point where you can either keep or donate your 10 cent refund. Not only is it great for the environment, but it’s also a great way to support Queensland Koala Crusaders.

Malani's turning 9!
Click to donate and help her celebrate
Malani is turning 9 and to celebrate she wants NO presents!
Instead she would love your support in raising money for Dutch Thunder Wildlife Shelter. She is ambitious with a goal of $900 for turning 9.
When traveling last year Malani had the opportunity to volunteer at Dutch Thunder and meet Kylee! Malani quickly became aware of the hard work and dedication involved in caring for and rescuing wildlife.
Kylee looks after over 70 animals in her home by herself during the day and with the help of her husband when he finishes work. She also regularly gets called out to do wildlife rescues. Her work continues day and night, on public holidays and weekends. She does not get paid to do what she does, and is responsible to financially support the needs of all these animals, which can be very expensive.
Her dedication and love for wildlife is obvious. Without a doubt, Kylee is a true wildlife hero, and Malani is determined to do what she can to support her.
You can read all about her Victorian adventures on the latest blog post here
WILD KOALA DAY - 3RD MAY
Wild Koala Day was started in 2016 by a network of independent koala conservation and rehabilitation groups all over Australia. Most of the groups involved with Wild Koala Day have been advocating for koalas for many years, some for decades. Our experience is first-hand. We represent the front line of koala conservation, working with our local communities at a grass-roots level.
We know about tragedy, heartbreak, and feelings of futility. We also know that facing reality, and taking action is the best course. Every time we face a disaster we get back up and keep working for koalas. The disasters might keep coming, but we are not beaten.
Koalas are still here, living wild and free in the Bush where they belong. In some places that would not be the case without the tireless efforts of many good people. All those people can hold their heads up with pride.
When koalas need help, we will be there for them. Will you join us?
You can check out some upcoming events here
If you can't attend anything on the day, why not make a donation to QKC and be part of our continued mission as a voice for the koala
